Kansas

This past weekend Allyson and I took a short trip to Kansas. I wasn't sure how Logan would do in the car, but all in all he did good. He had his DVD player and watch Veggie Tales and Slept most of the time. Allyson on the other hand had a few difficulties. I think she learned not to spit out the window of a moving car, I however had a good laugh when her spit came back and hit her in the face. We saw a lot of family and we had a good time visiting grandma. Logan ate some dirt and that was fun. Friday, we went and visited EduCare and Logan got to meet some people that I worked with. We also went to my Aunt Sherry and Uncle David's house. Logan had a good time playing with their grandson David. And David was so good to share his hat.

Then we went to Logan's first Football game. He LOVED the band and of course the cheerleaders, who weren't really cheerleaders at all. They were more cheerfollowers. The crowd would start a cheer then they would realize they weren't doing their job and then join in the cheer.

Lastly on Saturday, Logan got to meet two of my best friend from High School, Dawn, and Angela. He decided to put his whole hand in the Salsa bowl and ate it before I could stop him. That was not a good idea. He burned his little mouth :(

That was about it. I was going to take his picture at different places around Grandma's house, but I had too much fun visiting and forgot. Oops!

just another week

This week has been an interesting one. On Thursday Logan and I were in the car and I heard him make a choking noise in the back seat. I turned around to not a pretty sight of Logan's lunch that he had an hour before. I pulled to the side of the road and cleaned him up and went straight home. He was fine after that, but his daddy and I weren't. I spent the the next day on the floor in the living room with Hal on the couch. The bug we caught was not a nice one.

On Saturday, I was supposed to help with a baby shower, but considering the sickness in our house I decided to just take the things I was assigned and not stay. Adrienne helped me make the cake and I left it there so I didn't have to transport it twice. I went to pick it up and Logan was sleeping so I thought I will just run in and get it and come back out. It would have worked well, however, the keys got left in the ignition and I apparently bumped the door lock on my way out. When I got back to the car Logan was awake and Yup you guessed it all of the doors were locked. Hal, who was at work making up the hours he lost on Friday, Had to come rescue Logan.

Also Saturday was the much anticipated RED RIVER RIVALRY. One of the biggest games of the year for OU when they play the Texas Longhorns. And OU lost. We didn't mourn too long, but it was a disappointment.

Coming up for this week Allyson, Logan, and I are making our way up north to Kansas. That should be an interesting trip. I can't wait to introduce Logan to some friends and family who haven't met him yet. I don't have any cool pictures to post this week, but I should next week.

MY FIRST BLOG!!!

I am sure everyone starts off their first blogs the same way. I really have never blogged before, blah, blah, blah and the same is true of me. I don't know if this is something I will like or if this one first blog will be my last. Who know?

So Logan turned one last weekend and that was a fun time. He was spoiled rotten and got a TON of toys. This is now what my dinning room looks like:

And that's not counting the overflow of toys that are in my living room and hallway. He loved his cupcake he got to dig into. I was a little disappointed that he didn't make much of a mess, but none of the cupcake went to waste, and suprisingly he crashed about 5 minutes after I cleaned him up. He even slept through an OU football game at my parents' house, which in itself is amazing!

Kailea is doing well. She is so happy in her new school district and we are trying to enroll her in gymnastics (inspired by the olympics). Other than that she is the same as any other little girl, full of live and loving it. She is such a good big sister to Logan.
Hal just got a promotion at work so no more driving for him. Which also means he isn't so beat at the end of the day. He actually has the energy to play with Logan and we even get to take lunch to him a couple of times a week. Logan is getting to the age when he loves to wrestle and daddy is the best wrestler.
I just started selling Avon this week and I am hoping it will be enough to suplement our income without me having to work outside the house or Hal having to take on a second job.
Other than that we are just living. I would like to ask you all to keep Hal's mom in your prayers. We just found out today that she has some pretty serious health issues that she is going to have to deal with.
